Overview

The Lending Assistant in the Corporate Lending Division is responsible for assisting Relationship Manager(s) and/or the Corporate Lending Group Manager with portfolio management, developing new and servicing existing customers with the origination, processing, underwriting and closing of loans.

Responsibilities

This position handles new clients and manages existing loans for both consumer and commercial products, while assisting Relationship Managers in managing and growing the overall loan portfolio.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Relationship Manager(s) in the coordination and flow of credit applications through the analysis process for both C&I and CRE Loans.
  • Prepare Credit Approval Summary and Credit Approval Memorandum, for selected loans not requiring Credit Analysis Underwriting for both C&I and CRE Loans.
  • Prepare Deal Memorandums, Personal Financial Statements, Waivers, Memorandums and letters of Intent for both C&I and CRE Loans.
  • Assist Relationship Manager(s) in performing the annual reviews and/or modifications for both C&I and CRE Loans.
  • Ensure compliance with financial/reporting requirements, identify document exceptions and assist in identifying/correct data integrity of the loan reporting systems.
  • Conduct client visits and site visits with Relationship Manager(s) when necessary.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding loan status, documentation needs, and general inquiries.
  • Assist with KYC profiling and assist the BSA review team for monitoring suspicious activity and high risk accounts.

           

 

Education/Experience:

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field of study such as Accounting or Finance
  2. One (1) to three (3) years of related experience in Credit Analysis.
  3. Formal Credit Analysis training is required.

Combination of education and experience will be considered.

 

Skills and Competencies

  1. Must be able to understand and implement job related policies and procedures.
  2. Must possess strong credit skills and be knowledgeable of credit policies and have working knowledge of credit and financial analysis, including cash flow analysis, balance sheet analysis, profitability, liquidity, and solvency analysis.
  3. Must possess excellent project and time management skills; possess excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Must be Internet savvy; Computer proficient in MS Software, (e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook).
