The Real Estate Paralegal is responsible for assisting the Loan Closing Department with the handling of many real estate, loan closings, and lending related matters.
Prepares and revises real estate and lending documents, such as notes, mortgages, deeds, deeds-in-lieu, affidavits, loan modification agreements, forbearance agreements, leases, listing agreements, purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements, etc., and advises the bank’s lending and closing departments regarding real estate and lending issues. Prepares and revises loan documents such as notes, mortgages, closing statements, etc.; reviews internal credit approval documents and performs or coordinates necessary tasks for loan closings; coordinates with the loan closing department, lending officers, outside counsel, and others to prepare for, conduct, and facilitate the closing; examine title commitments and assist with title requirements and resolving title problems for closing; and follow through with appropriate recordings, filings, disbursements, and post-closing matters. Serves as the liaison between the Closing Department and outside counsel for all loan closing matters.
