Overview

The Personal Banking Officer in the Wealth Management Division is responsible for providing personalized support in all phases of customer service, client relationship building, and account maintenance to Relationship Manager (s).  

Responsibilities

Assists Relationship Manager(s) with managing and growing profitable relationships to achieve growth of their portfolio and by understanding and offering bank products to meet the customers’ financial needs.  Collaborates with establishing Personal and Business accounts; ensures proper account documentations and files are complete; and assists with loan applications and documentation.    Performs a wide range of services including document preparation, account servicing/maintenance and problem resolution.  Profiles customers to ensure KYCs are updated and completed in a timely manner to comply with established BSA/AML requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance preferred) with two (2) years of banking experience required, directly related to servicing international customers in Wealth Management banking - operations, or a Two Year College Degree with a minimum of five (5) years of banking experience required, directly related to servicing customers in retail banking branch operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Must be able to understand and implement job related policies and procedures.
  • Experience working in a team (sales and service), and high-quality customer service advocacy.
  • Must be able to resolve problems and adjust tactics in response to changing circumstances.
  • Must have the capability to prioritize, budget time and maintain work priorities.
  • Must be knowledgeable in internal bank operations (wire transfers, debits/credits and loan payments) and of banking products to cross-sell.
  • Must be knowledgeable on JHA Xperience applications.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (English/Spanish required). Portuguese highly preferred.
  • Computer knowledgeable in MS Software, (e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of the completion of KYC (Know Your Customer) is required.
  • Comprehension of banking laws and applicable compliance regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act/AML and Patriot Act is required.
