Overview

The IBC Manager is responsible for leading the overall activities of the International Banking Service Office achieving business goals by maximizing customer and employee satisfaction, drive sales revenues and oversee controls, while maximizing customer attrition and operational losses.

Responsibilities

This position works closely with the Operations Manager to provide support to the Retail Service Team. This position is also responsible for coordinating business trips and vacations to ensure proper levels of staffing, as well as supporting officers in the development of new and existing customer relationships. This position works closely with the Operations Manager to provide support to the sales and service team and to make decisions regarding operational and service issues.  This position is also responsible for overseeing the documentation process for new accounts, and assisting the IBC staff in adhering to all BSA and Compliance requirements as needed and completing all mandatory training in accordance with the bank’s annual training plan.  This position also provides backup support to the Wealth Management Department Managers when required.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field of study such as Business, or Accounting and five (5) years of related experience of managing experience in a leadership role within a retail environment and with an established portfolio of banking relationships; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven success developing new business required.
  • Work experience in international banking, retail banking, commercial banking, treasury/cash management services and non-deposit investment products preferred
  • Principals of Banking, Anti-Money Laundering, Marketing of Banking and Financial products, KYC, CRA and BSA training preferred.
  • Must be able to travel and visit prospective new clients within target markets in order to exceed product/sales goals.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, multi-tasking, leadership, written and verbal communication (fluent in English and Spanish) skills.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Software (e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • High quality service advocacy.
  • Knowledge on the completion of KYC is required.
  • Comprehension of banking laws and applicable compliance regulations is preferred.
