Overview

The VP; Branch Manager is responsible for managing the operations of a branch with the help of the Operations Officer, overseeing the lending and deposit gatherings for the branch, helping and guiding Relationship Managers with managing their own loan portfolio.  

Responsibilities

Oversees the lending and deposit gatherings for the branch, generates profitability by focusing on new business development, expanding revenues from existing clients through account additions and other services.  Sells bank products, develops, and makes productive deposit and lending relationships.  Identifies customer needs to sell appropriate Bank products.  Maintains service loan portfolio.  Increases Branch profitability, minimizes loan, non-loan, and miscellaneous losses.   Manages controllable expenses.   Ensures delivery of quality customer service, counsels employees on customer service performance, and promotes a participation environment within the branch.  Leads by example, trains, motivates and supervises staff in order that individual and branch goals are achieved.  Completes KYC forms on X-Pert AML applications.   The VP; Branch Manager must comply with all related CIP and BSA/AML requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field of study such as Accounting or Finance with three (3) years of banking related experience in product sales and lending with an established portfolio of banking relationships or an Associate’s Degree with an established portfolio of banking relationships and a minimum of five (5) years of banking experience in products sales and lending, specifically related to attracting and servicing customers; or possess the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Must be able to travel and visit prospected new clients within a designated area in order to increase depository and loan production/sales goals.
  • Must be knowledgeable of internal bank operations (wire transfers, debits/credits and loan payments) and bank products to cross sell.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and oriented towards providing excellent customer service.
  • Must have leadership abilities to lead projects; manage a team; ability to lead and drive initiatives; ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Computer knowledge in MS Office Software (e.g. Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook).
  • Spanish required.
