Overview

The Asset Based Lending Operations Manager is responsible for monitoring and overseeing functions in the ABL department, such as line of credit structuring, funding, and daily operations. 

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for line of credit monitoring and compliance.  This position provides risk mitigation for the bank and the ABL department by developing, recommending, implementing, and managing all administrative and monitoring controls for the bank’s ABL lines of credit. Monitors and reconciles traditional ABL line of credit, equipment leasing, purchase orders, premium financing, floor plan line of credit, and mortgage warehousing line of credit.  Responsible for performing analysis of clients’ financial position reports and documents to determine eligibility for funding, verifying collateral presented, processing and approving clients’ line of credit funding and payment requests; analyzing customer financial reports and documents to verify and approve collateral funding eligibility based on the parameters of the customer’s line of credit and credit insurance policy.   Interacts with clients to explain ABL line of credit operations, provides continued assistance, and acts as a liaison between bank and banks’ clients to effectively resolve problems.  Monitors and audits customers’ accounts to determine any suspicious activity or non-compliance with the loan agreement.   Additionally responsible for enforcing security measures and authorization procedures to eliminate fraud and unauthorized transactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field of study such as Accounting, Business, or Finance and eight (8) years of banking operations experience with at least three (3) years directly related to ABL or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience as an ABL Field Examiner is preferred.
  • Prior audit experience in a wide range of client industries and collateral field examination programs is required.
  • Must possess a formal credit training background.
  • Must possess strong credit skills, be knowledgeable of credit policies and have working knowledge of credit and financial analysis.
  • Must possess good analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Software including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
